Step 1

» You need a detailed sketch to begin.

» If necessary, check the topic "Draft" to color your own sketch.

» Otherwise, you can download the basic outline here.

Step 2

» Fine down the sketch.

NB : This step is not necessary. It provides a clearer result but less dynamic.

It's up to you...

Step 3

» I use first light colors.

» Remember to keep white areas to create a reflection effect.

» Don't pay too much attention to the outlines of yout sketch. It allows to create movement... Color quickly !

Step 4

» Now use darker colors to create the shadows of the body.

» Color the details such as lights, tyres, etc... with the same technics as the body : light colors first, then the dark ones.

Step 5

» Use black ballpoint pen to show the details (doors, outline of windows, wheels).

» Add blue to create the reflection of the sky on the windows and mirrors.

NB : I didn't detail the front wheel so that the drawing seems deeper.

Step 6

» Now we have to create the background of the drawing. The ground and the shadow were already created in the previous step.

» Write the name of the car and create the background to finish your drawing.
